Card games are played with countless regional and household variations, and different groups genuinely disagree on details. We write each page from general knowledge of how a game is commonly played, in our own words, and call out the most common variations where they matter - but no single page can cover every house rule. If a page ever conflicts with how your group plays, treat your group's agreed rules as the ones that count for your game.

Nothing on this site is an official rulebook, and we aren't affiliated with any official rules body for any game described here. Where a game is commercially published and trademarked, we say so directly on that game's page: we're describing how the game is played, not speaking on behalf of, or with the endorsement of, the publisher.
